Shacks and other huts have always been part of the landscape of many beaches around the world.
Whether on the beaches of Waikiki in the early 20th century Outrigger club, or in California, especially from the 50’s to the 70’s as on the beach of Windandsea for example, the clubs of surf settled in beach huts. These were then the epicenter of the local surfing community, where competitions, good tips, parties, anecdotes of all kinds were shared.

The Authentic cabin emerged from the sand in the summer of 2005.
Fruit of our idea Mikaël and Michaël to create a surf school hut on the beach of Casernes in Seignosse in 2005. Date on which, we had our diplomas of Lifeguards and Aquatic Rescuer, and Surf Instructor.
This superb opportunity to be able to live from our passion for surfing and the ocean, to make it a reality by setting up our “office” on the Casernes beach in Seignosse.
Added to our spontaneity and integrity, naturally and instantly, the Authentic surf community was born.

Very quickly Marco with his unique, authentic and beach boy personality joined us, becoming the keystone of the cabin. Guardian of the cabin, who has also become a surf teacher, always smiling, in a good mood…an atypical oldschool surfer, he will know how to pass on to you his devouring passion for surfing, waves and Italian Aldente pasta.
We will not mention here the countless anecdotes, the magnificent encounters, the incredible moments of surfing, sharing, complicity and conviviality around this cabin. The list is far too long.

La Plage des Casernes
Natural site classified Natura 2000, and for good reason.
It is the northernmost beach in Seignosse, and the first natural beach north of the Capbreton-Hossegor-Seignosse area, known in the world surfing community as one of the most beautiful surfing areas on the planet.
There is no town planning here. Access is through the forest. This is where the real Landes begins, wild and pure, where the energies of the very vast Landes forest, one of the largest beaches in Europe, a sandy beach stretching for nearly 250km, separated by the magnificent dune.
Barracks Beach is without a doubt, and by far, the most beautiful beach in the Capbreton-Hossegor-Seignosse sector. It is a spacious, quiet beach, which escapes summer overcrowding.
And to crown it all, if Seignosse is a privileged destination for surfing in summer, which best concentrates the small swells, it is at the Casernes beach that you will find the largest and most numerous sandbanks with attendance. the most moderate. So offering a wide variety of waves.
This makes it a privileged surf spot for both beginners and experienced surfers.
La plage des casernes is supervised by the MNS in July and August. It has new toilets, showers and a lifeguard station.
The restaurant “L’autre endroit” offers an incredible panoramic view. And it’s very good: squid, fresh fish, juice, beers, local specialities, breakfast…
